  • On this Walking Tour, you'll get to know the historic center of Florianopolis and hear the stories behind it. Questions are always welcome - whether you're into history, architecture, food, or local culture.

    We'll start our adventure together in front of Café|Bar do Largo da Alfândega and set off to explore the charming historic center. Along the way, we'll discover the stories behind the city's most important monuments and buildings. We'll also take a break at StreetMe Coffee to enjoy a tasting of delicious local specialty coffee.

    As we stroll through the city, we'll talk about the Indigenous peoples who first called the Island of Santa Catarina home and journey back to the 17th century to learn about the arrival of Portuguese settlers and the diverse communities that helped shape the island. After exploring the history of the so-called “Magic Island,” we'll visit the beautiful Cruz e Sousa Palace and the lively November 15th Square. Next, we'll discover important landmarks of Florianópolis's Black community and listen to the inspiring stories that make these places so special.

    We'll wrap up our tour at the bustling Public Market, the perfect place to keep exploring on your own. Before we say goodbye, I'll share my favorite tips on what to eat, drink, and do next in the city, so you can make the most of your time in Florianópolis.
