Make the most of your time in Flåm with a scenic 2-hour bus tour to the iconic Stegastein viewpoint—one of Norway’s most breathtaking panorama spots. Starting in Flåm at the inner end of the Aurlandsfjord, you’ll travel through a dramatic landscape of steep mountains and waterfalls, in an area famous for the Flåm Railway, the cruise port, and the National Tourist Route Aurlandsfjellet.
After meeting at the Flåm parking lot, settle into an air-conditioned bus and begin the journey along a narrow, winding fjord road toward Aurland. As you follow the water’s edge and climb higher, you’ll pass hairpin bends and watch the scenery open up—revealing deeper views of the fjord far below.
In around 20 minutes, you’ll reach Stegastein viewpoint. The striking platform extends about 30 meters out from the mountainside and sits roughly 650 meters above the UNESCO-listed Aurlandsfjord. Step onto the viewing deck to take in one of the Sognefjord region’s most photographed vistas, with sweeping fjord-and-mountain views in every direction.
After time for photos and fresh air, return comfortably to Fl åm by bus. This short, unforgettable excursion is ideal for cruise passengers and travelers who want world-class scenery without committing to a full-day tour.
If there are not enough participants for the large bus, a minibus will be used instead.
