Day 1: Cow Hills Trekking (~15km)

Begin your adventure with a pickup from your accommodation in Sapa or in front of Sapa’s Church. After a short introduction, take a taxi to the O Quy Ho village.

Start your trek to the top of the mountain. Pass by fields of vegetables and fruit trees, such as chayote, cabbage, pear, and green tea. See a small waterfall along the way.

After 40 minutes, spot cows and goats and enjoy the fantastic landscape. Reach the first stop and take in breathtaking views from the top of the mountain. Relax in a grass field and take some gorgeous pictures.

Next, stop for a delicious picnic lunch prepared by your local guide. This top is higher than the first, offering panoramic views of Sapa’s area, including Fansipan Mount, Silver Waterfall, Ban Khoang village, Ta Phin, and more.

After lunch, continue trekking downhill. Pass by buffalo, goats, and cows grazing, and enjoy stunning views of Ban Khoang and Ta Phin villages. See a small hut on the way, offering a glimpse into the simple yet happy life of the locals.

Reach Ta Phin, a village of Red Dao and Black Hmong ethnic minorities. Learn about the Hmong’s unique marriage traditions and the Red Dao’s expertise in herbal medicine. See the beautiful rice fields, an important food source for the local people. Spend the night in the center of Ta Phin village.

Day 2: Villages’ Trekking (~13km)

After breakfast at the homestay, continue your trek to Ta Phin Cave, which goes deep into the mountains. Watch local women make brocade products to sell.

Trek on a small road through rice paddies to Ma Tra village, offering amazing views. Visit Suoi Ho, where you’ll see the Black Hmong minorities with their traditional houses.

Meet animals used by local people, such as water buffalo, chickens, dogs, and pigs. Admire the beautiful landscape of rice terrace fields and mountains.

Pass a small mountain with a Sapa panorama view and take a rest. After that, trek down to Sapa Center, arriving at about 3:00 PM.
