Our tour starts at Entrance B of Beijing Lu Metro Station, at 2 p.m. afternoon. We'll begin by walking through Beijing Lu, one of the city's largest commercial hubs, before heading to Dafo Temple (The Great Buddha Temple). There, we will learn China's relationship with religion and the culture of Buddhism.
After visiting Beijing Lu, we will walk to Wenming Road, a street cutting through Guangzhou's historic old town. This is where the food begins: egg tarts, Cantonese soup, traditional dessert, and claypot rice. We will also learn more about the status quo of China's dining industry behind bubble tea, a viral Gen-Z drink.
After exploring a few hidden local museums along the way, we will take the bus to our final stop: the vibrant neighborhood of Dongshan. Here, striking colonial-era architecture meets contemporary culture, and everyday life unfolds in markets and schoolyards. Stay curious — the ordinary is often more fascinating than you'd expect!
Our trip will end at Dongshankou Metro Station, at around 5 p.m..
