Our Etna Adventure off-road 4x4 tour is the first and only tour from Catania to the Sapienza Refuge on Etna, offering an off-road adventure to explore the volcanic landscape.
The route includes significant stops to explore with a certified guide:
- Cava Asero: An interesting area for its geological conformation and for being a disused lava extraction quarry (30-MINUTE STOP)
- Serra La Nave pine forest: a pine forest that often marks the transition to higher altitudes and offers a contrast between the vegetation and the lava rock.
- Teseo Screpolato: a monumental bronze sculpture located at a spectacular vantage point (10-MINUTE STOP)
- Rifugio Sapienza (final stop): Located at about 1900 meters on the south side of Etna, it's the arrival point where you can admire the Silvestri Craters. (STOP 2H30)
This tour combines driving on dirt roads through lava flows and forests to illustrate the geology, flora, and eruptive history of the volcano.
THE TOUR IS NOT SUITABLE FOR:
- Kids under 3 years old
