Embark on a fully guided overnight trail experience, starting with a 3-hour afternoon hike / guided game walk through the nature park. Stop for a snack lunch at the top of the historic Rock of Execution. Continue the afternoon to a Bushman Cave, a large granite overhang with a freshwater stream flowing through it.
Settle in for the night, with everything happening in the cave, from the star gazing, the campfire to dining a typical bushmen meal and sleeping to the sounds of nocturnal birds. Canvas bedrolls are provided for each guest, spread out on the sand floor of the cave.
Listen to the calls of jackals and zebras on the plains, and the distant bray of donkeys and chickens. The guides share the cave with guests, so there is little privacy on this adventurous trail. Ablutions include a wash basin and a pit latrine appropriately located away from the cave. There is no shower in the cave.
The second day begins with breafast around the fire, then embark on morning walk. The walk returns via an alternate route through the endangered antelopes area, arriving at the rest camp mid-morning. Showers are provided on return to the rest camp. Enjoy a warm shower, grab last moments with nature and prepare for departures.
