What you can expect

Explore the magic of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta on an unforgettable tour among clouds, ancestral flavors, and dreamlike landscapes.

We will depart around 3:00 a.m. from Santa Marta in a 4x4 vehicle, ascending mountain roads until we reach Cerro Kennedy at around 5:00 a.m., at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters. From there, you will witness a unique sunrise with views of the Caribbean Sea, the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta, and the majestic mountains of the Sierra.

After sunrise, you will enjoy a traditional mountain breakfast, followed by a descent hike through a natural environment teeming with life. You will be able to observe hummingbirds, toucans, and endemic birds, thanks to the rich biodiversity that this area offers.

Our first stop will be at the San Lorenzo Experimental Station, where you will learn about conservation projects and the ecological importance of the place. Further on, we will stop at the Bellavista Viewpoint to take photos and admire a spectacular panoramic view of the Sierra-Sea-Ciénaga ecosystem.

Then we will cool off in the crystal clear waters of Pozo Azul before arriving at Casa Jocolate, where a delicious homemade lunch prepared with local ingredients awaits us.

The experience continues with an interactive cacao workshop, where you will learn about its history, cultivation, and artisanal preparation. You will roast, grind, and prepare your own chocolate bar, enjoy a tour guide tasting, and enjoy a natural cacao face mask.
