Meet your host, a local woman who is an experienced home cook and a fluent English speaker. Begin with a brief introduction to Sri Lankan spices. Then, get hands-on with the cooking, learning how to prepare a variety of traditional dishes.
Prepare a variety of dishes, including rice, aubergine modju, dhal curry, pumpkin curry, beans curry, coconut sambal, and coconut rotti. Get involved in the cooking process, from cracking coconuts to scraping them and preparing fresh coconut milk and many more.
After the class, sit down to enjoy the meal you've prepared. At the end of the class, receive the recipes for the dishes you've learned to cook.
