What you can expect

  • Explore Elephanta Island with a local villager as your host and see a side of Mumbai that most visitors never get to see.

This is a fully all-inclusive tour. Your ferry ride, all taxes, and UNESCO entry tickets are already included, so there is nothing extra to pay and nothing to worry about. Just show up and enjoy the day.

Your adventure starts with a scenic ferry ride across the harbour. As you leave the busy city behind, you will enjoy beautiful views of the Mumbai skyline from the water. It is a calm and relaxing start to the day.

When you reach the island, your host will welcome you and take you to the famous Elephanta Caves. These ancient rock-cut temples are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are about 1,500 years old. Your host will walk you through the caves, explain the carvings and the history in a simple and interesting way, and share stories you will not find in a guidebook.

What makes this tour special is your host. They are from the island, so you get a real local view of the place. You will learn about daily life in the village, the local culture, and the community that lives beside these caves. It is a warm, friendly, and honest way to understand the island.

This tour is perfect for couples, families, solo travelers, and anyone who wants more than a quick visit. You will not be rushed, and you are free to ask questions and take as many photos as you like.

Book now and experience Elephanta Island the way locals know it.
