We'll depart from your hotel in El Calafate for the Perito Moreno Glacier. During the 80-km journey, we make various stops at vantage points to take in views of the glacier, Lake Argentino, the Patagonian Steppe, the local flora and fauna, and the Patagonian Andean Forest. The guide will give you all the information about the surroundings, history, and mysticism of this unique glacier!
Upon arrival at the National Park, we'll visit the first balcony in the boardwalk area with the guide, who will explain the different trails, their durations, and their levels of difficulty, so you can explore them at your leisure. The walkways have a total length of 3 km and feature viewing platforms at different levels and angles connected by trails and staircases, allowing you to see the Perito Moreno Glacier from different perspectives.
As an additional option, you can book a 1-hour boat trip in front of the southern wall of the glacier. This complements your experience, as you'll not only see the glacier from the height of the walkways, but also from lake level.
After about 4 hours, at the time agreed with the guide, you must return to the meeting point for the drop-off back to your hotel in El Calafate.
