Join a qualified Mountain Leader on an unforgettable hike up Edinburgh's highest hill, where you can breathe in the fresh mountain air and get some exercise.
Arthur's Seat is at the centre of Holyrood Park, a little piece of the Scottish Highlands right in the centre of Edinburgh. With no buildings, roads, or traffic, you can step off the Royal Mile and straight into the countryside.
If you'd like someone to show you the best route to the top - and back down again after sunset - then this is the tour for you. Anyone interested in the area's history, landscape, plants, and animals will enjoy this hike. Your friendly guide is an Edinburgh local who loves sharing stories about the city and Arthur's Seat.
After meeting your guide at the end of the Royal Mile an hour before sunset, enjoy a scenic route through Holyrood Park, immersing yourselves in nature as you ascend the hill. Marvel at the constantly changing sky, with its colors becoming more dramatic as you walk up the hill.
Arthur's Seat is right in the middle of the city, so when you reach the top, you are rewarded with stunning views of Edinburgh. On a clear day, you can see far in all directions, with some of Scotland's high mountains visible on the horizon.
At the summit, enjoy the panoramic views and take memorable photos before heading back down.
