Dushanbe is the capital of Tajikistan and located in Hissar Valley in the south of country.The history of city goes back as far as 3 thousand years. Archeologists have dug out the remains of Greek-Bactrian settlements, the site of ancient settlement from Kushan period, site of ancient Shishi Khon village and other medieval settlements.
In the morning 9 am our driver and guide will meet you at your hotel. Dushanbe tour starts with a visit to National Museum of Antiquities of Tajikistan(closed on Mondays) that includes the exhibits on history, natural history and art (Buddha in Nirvana is one of the valuable exhibits of the museum). Continue to Hissar fortress (30 km from Dushanbe) where you can see Madrasah Kukhna. Return to Dushanbe and visit Gurminj Musical Instruments Museum, Statue of Ismail Somoni and Rudaki Park.
During the tour you will have lunch in a local restaurant. The driver and guide will round up the tour bringing you back to the hotel.
