6:00 AM: Meet your guide in downtown Durango and board a comfortable, air-conditioned shuttle (either a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van or a Yukon Denali, depending on group size).

6:30 AM: Begin the dramatic ascent into the San Juan Mountains. Enjoy a couple of short photo stops: one at Molas Pass near Silverton, and another as we pass over the beautiful historic town of Silverton, nestled in a high alpine valley.

From there, continue along the legendary Million Dollar Highway, one of the most scenic and thrilling roads in America. This stretch offers jaw-dropping views of deep canyons, rugged peaks, and cascading waterfalls. We’ll also make a couple of scenic stops at Red Mountain Pass, known for its colorful peaks and dramatic alpine vistas, an unforgettable drive through the heart of the San Juans.

9:30 AM: Arrive in Ouray and make a quick coffee stop at a local café to fuel up before hitting the trail.

10:00 AM: Begin the Perimeter Trail hike (a moderate 5- to 6-hour trek featuring waterfalls, cliffs, canyon views, and iconic vistas of the town). The full trail is approximately 6 miles, but a shorter loop can be taken depending on time or ability.
After the hike, we’ll make our way to the stunning Box Canyon Waterfall, where powerful cascades plunge through a narrow quartzite canyon. Admission to the waterfall is included. this is a perfect way to cool down and experience one of Ouray’s most dramatic natural wonders.

4:00 PM: Enjoy a late lunch/early dinner break and free time in downtown Ouray. Dine at one of Ouray’s charming restaurants, browse local shops and galleries. You may also choose to relax at one of the Ouray Hot Springs.

6:30 PM: End the day with a peaceful sunset drive through the mountains, returning to Durango in the evening.

8:30 PM: Arrive in Downtown Durango.
