    Explore Dortmund's “beery” soul and sample it at the same time: On this tour, you will follow in the footsteps of the city's now more than 700-year-old and significant beer tradition. From the time of industrialization, through the 1950s and 60s, when Dortmund became Europe's beer capital, to the present day, when a lot is being done to revive Dortmund's former glory. And you can see for yourself how good it is during this tour.

    Which way do we go?
    We start at the Dortmund U Tower, which has been the venue of the Dortmund Beer Festival since 2016. After a short stop in the lobby of the Unique Hotel, formerly the headquarters of Brau und Brunnen, we will stop at the Hövels Hausbrauerei (brewpub). Passing the Bierkutscher-Denkmal (Beer Cart Driver Monument) and going through Brauhausstraße, we first come to the original home of the Stade Brewery and finally to the “Wenkers” cellar at the Old Market.
