What you can expect
Set Off from Manzanillo:
Begin your morning at the Manzanillo boat launch for a one-of-a-kind coastal and jungle experience.
Dolphin Watching on the Caribbean Coast:
Cruise the warm waters off Manzanillo in search of two incredible dolphin species. Spot playful bottlenose dolphins and the lesser known, Tucuxi found only in this region. The dolphin watching portion lasts 1.5 to 2 hours depending on how quickly we encounter them (we have a 90% success rate!). This relaxing experience gives you a chance to observe these dolphins naturally, without disturbing their rhythm. When you find them, and the boat turns off the engine…and all you can hear is them moving through the water…it's such a beautiful experience. It's a moment you have to be there to know what I mean!
Visit the Jungle Farm from Netflix's Down to Earth:
After dolphin watching, you'll arrive by boat at Punta Mona. This was home to a once-thriving off-grid commune featured in Down to Earth with Zac Efron. Although the commune was later shut down by the government, the land continues to flourish. With permission from the current caretakers, we’ll take a short guided tour through the property, learning about its history and tasting from the abundance of fruits - some of which are rare, herbs, and medicinal plants still growing wild. This one-hour stop is a beautiful blend of nature, food, and storytelling…and the honestly, the fruit here is unlike any you'll taste again, even in this area of Costa Rica.
What Makes This Tour Unique:
See two species of dolphins in their natural habitat
Explore the iconic Punta Mona organic farm
Taste wild-grown, organic fruits, herbs, and jungle plants
Hear the story behind a famous jungle commune
Please Note:
This tour begins in Manzanillo at the boat launch. Transportation is available from Puerto Viejo, just message for rates.
