We begin our adventure on the majestic Place Bellecour, where I warmly welcome you and explain how the experience will unfold. After a few gentle warm-up movements and a brief introduction to the square (the largest pedestrian square in Europe!), I hand you an old photo of a Lyon landmark as it looked 150 years ago. Your mission: observe the city carefully and try to identify this mysterious place along the way.
We then set off for a light run, adapted to everyone's pace. First stop: Vieux Lyon and the Saint-Jean Cathedral, where I reveal a few architectural secrets. We then head up to the Gallo-Roman theaters, impressive remains of ancient Lugdunum, before reaching the Basilica of Fourvière and its breathtaking view of the city.
The tour continues through the Saint-Just hill, then descends toward the Presqu’île. We explore the slopes of the Croix-Rousse, the historic silk workers’ district, before reaching the City Hall, the Place des Jacobins, and finally, the Place des Célestins.
Throughout the tour, you’ll enjoy photo breaks, historical anecdotes, and local tips. Will you manage to identify the location in the old photo before the end? A fun, active and original way to (re)discover Lyon!
