Start your day with a 7:00 AM pickup in Nairobi and travel toward Lake Naivasha and Hell’s Gate National Park, pausing en route to enjoy panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley from a scenic lookout. Upon arrival at the park around 9:00 AM, embark on a guided 2-hour biking or walking tour. Along the way, spot striking rock formations and a variety of wildlife including Thomson’s gazelles, elands, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, and hartebeest. Keep watch overhead—Hell’s Gate is home to over 100 bird species, such as Verreaux’s eagles, augur buzzards, vultures, and swifts. Next, explore the park’s unique gorges on foot, navigating narrow pathways and caves carved into layered sedimentary rock. After the 1-hour hike, continue to Lake Naivasha and proceed to Naivasha Marina Camp for lunch (at your own cost). Note: Guests who prefer not to bike may explore the park by vehicle. Your driver/guide will gladly stop for wildlife and scenic photo opportunities at no additional charge.

Enjoy a 1-hour boat ride on Lake Naivasha to explore its rich wildlife. Watch for hippos lounging near the water’s surface and admire a variety of bird species—commonly seen are African fish eagles, lesser flamingos, African spoonbills, and little grebes. At 4:00 PM, begin the journey back to Nairobi, with drop-off expected around 6:00 PM.
