At Burana Tower, you’ll explore one of Kyrgyzstan’s most ancient historical sites, dating back to the 11th century. Originally part of the ancient city of Balasagun, the tower served as a minaret and a watchtower. During your visit: • You’ll learn about the history of the Karakhanid Empire and the Silk Road. • You can climb to the top of the tower via a narrow spiral staircase for a panoramic view of the surrounding Chuy Valley. • Explore the open-air museum featuring ancient balbals (stone warrior statues) and petroglyphs. • Discover the small museum nearby, displaying artifacts found at the site. • Enjoy free time for photos and walking around the historical complex.
Boom Gorge (Pass by)
Lunch Stop Before Boom Gorge – Traditional Kattama Café Before entering the scenic Boom Gorge, we’ll stop for a delicious lunch at a local place known for its fresh Kattama (a traditional layered Kyrgyz bread). It’s a cozy spot where you can enjoy authentic homemade food and tea in a relaxed setting. After this refreshing break, we’ll head back to Bishkek, carrying beautiful memories from the Issyk-Kul region.
