Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

Begin your adventure with a pickup from your accommodation in Dar es Salaam. Set off early in the morning for a 6-hour drive to Mikumi National Park, stopping for lunch in Morogoro Town along the way.

Arrive at the park in the afternoon and embark on an evening game drive. Explore areas like the Mkata Plain, Kisungura area, and Hippo Dams, where you can spot a variety of wildlife. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Camp Bastian Mikumi.

Day 2: Game Drive and Night Safari in Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, head out for a full day of game drives with a packed lunch. Keep an eye out for lions, elands, hartebeests, buffaloes, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, and elephants. You might even spot packs of wild dogs.

Take a break in the afternoon to rest and prepare for your night safari. Begin your night game drive around 8:00 PM, exploring the park’s must-visit spots. Return to the lodge around 11:30 PM for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Mikumi National Park to Dar es Salaam

Enjoy an early morning breakfast before driving back to Dar es Salaam via Morogoro Town. Upon arrival, you’ll be dropped off at the ferry for Zanzibar, the airport, or your hotel.
