The 2-day tour begins with the pick up at your accommodation in Cusco around 5:00 a.m., and then we will take a trip of approximately 4 hours to the National Sanctuary of Ampay. There you will begin a 2-hour hike to the Anq'asccocha lagoon, located within this natural sanctuary known for its biodiversity and Andean landscapes. After enjoying the surroundings, you will return to the park entrance and continue your journey for about 3.5 hours to the city of Andahuaylas, where you will spend the night in a hotel. During the afternoon and evening you will have free time to explore the city or rest.
The next day, the tour continues with an early departure to the town of Pampachiri, about 2.5 hours away. From there, you take an additional transport for about 40 minutes to reach the Bosque de Piedras, an impressive set of natural rock formations, where you will also find the peculiar “Smurf Houses”. We explore the area for a few hours and then return to Pampachiri for lunch. Finally, we return to Cusco, arriving approximately in the evening, after having walked about 5 kilometers during the whole tour.
