Your incredible experience begins early, with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 am We will depart on a 3-hour drive through the picturesque South Valley, surrounded by agricultural terraces. Incas, traditional towns and the imposing Andean peaks that mark the landscape.
Upon reaching Llacto, 4,638 meters above sea level, you will enjoy a delicious Andean breakfast while watching the herds of alpacas and llamas grazing nearby, a true living postcard of rural life. Then, we will continue with a short van ride to the trailhead.
The walk begins following a meandering stream with crystal-clear waters, with the majestic Cerro Ausangate and its glaciers as a backdrop. Here, you will have the opportunity to interact with local residents, who proudly preserve their Quechua traditions. Discover the meaning of their colorful hats and admire their clothing full of history and symbolism.
After a climb of approximately 1.5 hours, the reward awaits: the dazzling Mountain of Colors, with its vibrant hues that extend to 5,020 meters above sea level. You will have time to explore, take spectacular photographs and immerse yourself in the magical energy of this unique place.
After about 30 minutes at the top, we will begin the descent, enjoying the Andean landscape again. At the end, we will return to Cusco, arriving around 5:00 pm, with indelible memories and the satisfaction of having conquered one of the most impressive natural jewels of Peru.
