Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in downtown Ho Chi Minh City. Transfer to Tan Cang or Bach Dang Pier, where you’ll board a speedboat and begin your journey to the Cu Chi Tunnels.
Upon arrival in Cu Chi, watch a short documentary about Cu Chi during the war, available in many foreign languages. Discover the hidden entrances of secret tunnels and explore the incredible network of Cu Chi tunnels. Crawl through the narrow tunnels, all hand-dug by people. Gain more knowledge about history, weapons, and damaged self-constructed traps.
Try to shoot with AK47 or M16 rifles in a well-supervised area (optional with surcharge). Taste the main dish that locals ate during wartime: boiled tapioca with hot pandanus tea. Then, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with a delicious meal.
In the afternoon, get in the car and depart for the Mekong Delta. Reach the port to take a leisurely cruise on the Tien River to see 4 islets which are presented as four mythical creatures in Southeast Asia: Dragon, Kirin, Tortoise, and Phoenix.
Walk through orchard gardens, then taste some fresh seasonal tropical fruits, and enjoy the art of “Don ca tai tu” – traditional Southern folk music, which is an indispensable spiritual cultural activity in locals’ lives. Hop on a horse wagon and relax on the hand–rowed sampan to recall local people's life in the 19th century, and take a short walk through a quiet village to feel the countryside atmosphere.
Explore villages, canals, and rivers by motorboat and rowboat. Finally, travel back to Saigon and end your tour.
