What you can expect

  • Experience the true serenity of Kyoto before the city wakes up. This “Early Bird” tour is specifically designed to beat the crowds at the city's three most famous and congested landmarks: Fushimi Inari Shrine, Nijo Castle, and Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion).

    Why wake up early?
Kyoto's top sites can get extremely crowded by mid-morning. By starting early, we ensure you experience the spiritual atmosphere as it was intended—peaceful, majestic, and quiet.

    1. Fushimi Inari Shrine (The Morning Hike):
We begin our journey at Fushimi Inari. While most tourists arrive later in the day, we will walk through the iconic “Senbon Torii” (thousands of vermilion gates) in the fresh morning air. This is your best chance to capture that perfect “empty tunnel” photo and truly feel the sacred energy of the mountain.

    2. Nijo Castle (Shogun's History):
Next, we move to Nijo Castle. We aim to arrive as the gates open, allowing us to explore the Shogun's palace and its famous “nightingale floors” before the large tour groups arrive. Your guide will reveal the history of the samurai in a relaxed setting.

    3. Kinkaku-ji (The Golden Pavilion):
We conclude with the stunning Golden Pavilion. Seeing the gold leaf reflect on the pond in the morning light is a breathtaking sight.

Join us for an efficient, stress-free morning that lets you check off Kyoto's “Big 3” bucket list items while most travelers are just finishing breakfast.
