Pottery Tour in Fontilima Village – A Journey to the Roots of Cape Verdean Tradition
Discover the artisanal heart of Cape Verde with a unique experience in the picturesque village of Fontilima, located on the outskirts of Assomada, on Santiago Island.
On this immersive tour, you'll be warmly welcomed by the local community and immerse yourself in the ancient art of traditional Cape Verdean pottery. Guided by experienced artisans—often women who have inherited the craft from generation to generation—you'll witness how the earthen clay takes shape in the skilled hands of those who know the secrets of fire, water, and time.
