What you can expect

  • Discover one of Andalusia’s most spectacular landscapes on a guided day trip to the Caminito del Rey from the Costa del Sol.

    Travel by bus to the area of the Conde del Guadalhorce Reservoir, where your walking experience begins. Follow the access trails before entering the Caminito del Rey with your local guide.

    Walk through impressive gorges and along the famous suspended walkways built into the rock walls. Along the way, learn about the history of the Caminito del Rey, its original construction and its connection with King Alfonso XIII.

    Continue through the spectacular Desfiladero de los Gaitanes and enjoy incredible views of the surrounding natural landscape. One of the highlights comes near the end of the route, when you cross the famous suspension bridge more than 100 meters above the gorge.

    After completing the Caminito del Rey, and if weather conditions permit, enjoy approximately 45 minutes of free time in Ardales before beginning the return journey to the Costa del Sol.

    Please note that the total duration of the tour with transportation is approximately 6–8 hours. The duration and return times are approximate and may vary depending on traffic, the different pick-up points along the Costa del Sol, Caminito del Rey entrance times, and other operational circumstances. We recommend not scheduling any time-sensitive activities immediately after the estimated return time.
