What you can expect

Discover medieval Copenhagen after dark on a different tour, designed for those who want to learn about the city's history and also experience its most authentic atmosphere. We'll walk through ancient cobbled streets, hidden squares, and corners full of history as the city changes pace and the lights of the historic center come on.

During the sightseeing tour, we'll visit iconic places such as the Round Tower, Greyfriars Square, Copenhagen Cathedral, the old university, and several of the city's oldest streets. We'll also pass through areas with historic bars, cafes, and the most local and alternative nightlife.

We'll talk about the medieval period, the Vikings, great fires, Danish curiosities, urban legends, and historical figures like Ole Rømer, all told in an entertaining, engaging, and dynamic way.

Our tour begins at the Kulturvet or Coal Square, which will be the gateway to our walk. We'll then reach the second stop, the Round Tower, which is now a tourist site, although in the past it was one of the most advanced observatories of the time, a place where many observers, amateurs, and astronomers made many discoveries. From there, we'll begin to experience the old medieval architecture along with anecdotes and recommendations. We'll talk about the reform of the church and education when we arrive at the Latin Quarter, where professors and students lived their lives around the residences and the university. We'll experience one of the most alternative areas of the city, full of bars and an incredible atmosphere. We'll pass by the City Hall and, after introducing it, we'll finish the tour in front of the majestic and iconic Tivoli, the second-oldest amusement park still in operation. We've designed this tour so that you really take home a great feeling and a desire to return to this beautiful city.
