A unique 240-minute experience, driving a (daring) all-terrain buggy along mountainous trails to explore the region and the gastronomy of Condeixa and Serra de Sicó.
We'll start from the village of Alcabideque, where the Castellum is located, and from which the ancient aqueduct that fed the City of Conimbriga departs. We'll head towards the Conimbriga Ruins, where you can admire a bit of the city from the outside. We'll wander through the ruins and typical villages and climb the Serra da Senhora do Circulo, where we'll enjoy a 360º view of the entire region. On sunny days with clear skies, you can see the Serra da Estrela on one side and the Atlantic coast on the other. The path continues towards the Vale das Buracas do Casmilo, where we'll stop to admire the caves belonging to an ancient huge grotto that existed inside the large block of Jurassic limestone over 160 million years old.
We'll get back behind the wheel and drive towards the Roman village of Rabaçal, stopping to visit the Germanelo Castle viewpoint, overlooking the Rabaçal valley. In a few minutes, it'll be time for a food stop at Queijeira do Rabaçal, where you can enjoy a tasting of local cheeses and sausages and visit the animal farm. With our energy replenished, we'll get back behind the wheel and take the Camino de Santiago to return to Condeixa. We'll pass through the villages of Zambujal and Fonte Coberta to climb to the Windmill in the Serra de Jeneanes. We'll continue along the left bank of the Rio dos Mouros, on a really fun route to drive. On the way back to Conimbriga, we'll stop at the entrance to the Rio dos Mouros footbridges and take the opportunity for a walk and a visit to the already famous waterfall (optional). It's time to head back to our headquarters on some fun trails.
Our routes are over 90% off-road! Enjoy your Tootopo Moment!
