What you can expect

  • A unique 240-minute experience, driving a (daring) off-road buggy along mountainous trails to explore the region and the cuisine of Condeixa and the Serra de Sicó.

We leave from the village of Alcabideque, where the Castellum is located, from which the old aqueduct that supplied the City of Conimbriga starts. We continue on our way towards the Ruins of Conimbriga, where we can admire a little of the city from the outside. We wander among the ruins and typical villages and climb the Serra da Senhora do Circulo, where we enjoy a 360º view of the entire region. On sunny, clear days, we can see Serra da Estrela on one side and the Atlantic coast on the other. The path continues towards the Vale das Buracas do Casmilo, where we stop to admire the caves belonging to a huge ancient cavern that existed inside the large block of Jurassic limestone that is more than 160 million years old.

We get behind the wheel again and drive towards the Roman village of Rabaçal, stopping to visit the observation deck of the Germanelo Castle, overlooking the Rabaçal valley. A few minutes later, it will be time for a food stop at A Queijeira do Rabaçal, where we will enjoy a tasting of regional cheeses and sausages and a visit to the animal farm. With our energy restored, we get back behind the wheel and take the Camino de Santiago to return to Condeixa. We pass through the villages of Zambujal and Fonte Coberta to climb to the Windmill in the Serra de Jeneanes. We continue along the left bank of the Rio dos Mouros on a route that is great fun to drive. On the way back to Conimbriga, we make a stop at the entrance to the Passadiços do Rio dos Mouros and take the opportunity for a hike and a visit to the now famous waterfall (optional). It's time to return to our headquarters along some very enjoyable trails.

Our routes are over 90% off-road! Enjoy your Tootopo Moment!
