Begin your adventure by meeting your guide in a parking lot next to the US 60. After a safety talk, descend into Ash Creek Canyon on dirt roads. Enter the Lost City of Chrysotile and drive through the area that was once the miners' orchard and farm.
Make your first stop at the superintendent's house and tour the building. Next, drive past the Manager and Assistant Manager's two-story stone house. Continue in the off-road vehicles to the top of the Eldarado Mine. Stop to look at tailing piles, mine entrances, and hear historical information about the mine.
Descend the mountain and make your way to Chrysotile's Company Store to explore the building. Next, drive to the center of the city and tour the Powerhouse, Jail, and Post Office. Drive past the Helicopter Pad and the entrance to Victory Mine. Stop at the Miner Motel and tour the building to see how the miners lived. Drive past the old city ruins.
Continue to the lower overlook of Ash Creek Canyon for scenic views. Stop at a plateau overlooking the waterfalls and swimming holes. Continue up steep roads to the highest clearing in the city and stop for picturesque canyon views. End your tour by driving back the 5 miles of dirt road, ascending a quarter mile to the meeting area.
