What you can expect

Join a full-day tour from Christchurch to Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park, the highest mountain in New Zealand. The tour begins with pickup from central Christchurch in the morning and returns to the same location in the evening. Hotel pickup and drop-off are available within central Christchurch.

Travel in a comfortable small group across the scenic Canterbury Plains, passing farmland, rivers, and wide-open landscapes. Your first major stop is Lake Tekapo, where you can visit the Church of the Good Shepherd and enjoy views of the bright turquoise lake.

Continue through the Mackenzie Basin and stop at Lake Pukaki, known for its glacier-fed blue water and clear views of Mt Cook. This is a popular photo stop and a highlight of the journey.

Upon arrival at Mt Cook National Park, you will have free time to explore at your own pace. You may choose to take a short walk, such as the Hooker Valley Track, or relax and enjoy the alpine scenery.

After the visit, return to Christchurch with additional scenic stops along the way, arriving back in the city in the evening. A Chinese-speaking guide is available to assist throughout the journey.
