What you can expect

Day 1: Arrival in Chongqing – Exploring at Your Leisure
Upon arrival by flight or train, a professional driver will meet you for a seamless transfer to the hotel. After settling in, the rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace. Wander through Chongqing’s bustling streets, marvel at the city’s unique mountainous architecture, or indulge in authentic local delicacies such as spicy hotpot or mouthwatering street food. With no guide on this day, take the opportunity to enjoy a self-paced introduction to this vibrant metropolis while keeping an eye on your belongings.

Day 2: Discovering the Natural Wonders – Wujiang River Gallery and Wulong Karst
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before heading out to the Wujiang River Gallery. This national scenic area is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, featuring red cliffs, lush greenery, and the serene waters of the Wujiang River. As a vital part of the Yangtze River and Wulong tourism route, the gallery provides a picturesque setting perfect for relaxation and photography.

Next, journey to the Wulong Karst Three Natural Bridges, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This awe-inspiring geological wonder showcases massive karst formations, including the iconic Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge, and Heilong Bridge. These majestic stone arches form the world’s largest natural bridge cluster, with dramatic sinkholes and stunning views that captivate visitors. As you stroll through the ancient pathways, you’ll feel transported to the Tang Dynasty, as parts of the area were featured in Zhang Yimou’s famous film Curse of the Golden Flower. End the day by returning to your hotel for a restful evening.

Day 3: Free Exploration – Dive Into Chongqing’s Culture and Landmarks
Enjoy the freedom of a day dedicated to exploring Chongqing’s cityscape at your own pace. Begin your adventure with a ride on the iconic Yangtze River Cableway, offering panoramic views of the city’s dazzling skyline and winding rivers. Continue to White Elephant Residence, an architectural marvel with layered floors and incredible viewpoints.

Take a stroll through Shancheng Alley, a historical area rich with old-world charm and local culture, or visit Liziba, the famous monorail station where trains pass through a residential building, earning it the nickname “train through the house.” For a taste of Chongqing’s history, head to Ciqikou Ancient Town, a lively street filled with traditional shops and snacks.

In the evening, head to Hongya Cave, a glowing network of buildings nestled along the riverbank, often compared to a scene from Spirited Away. Don’t miss the Cloud Eye Observation Deck for a spectacular 360-degree view of Chongqing’s skyline, offering breathtaking scenery both day and night.

Day 4: Departure from Chongqing
On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before being transported to your departure point. Your driver will ensure you arrive at the airport or train station in time for your onward journey.
