What you can expect
Your itinerary begins at Erchang Creative and Cultural Park. It was formerly the Printing Factory . After renovation, it became a cultural and creative park, with open courtyards preserving the original appearance of old factory buildings, walls covered in creative graffiti and art installations, exuding a strong artistic atmosphere. Stroll around, take retro Instagram photos, browse exhibition stalls—it's the perfect warm-up for the entire day's journey.
Next, you'll arrive at Liziba Light Rail Station. As the world's only “light rail piercing building” landmark, it's located in a 19-story commercial-residential building by the Jialing River, where trains roar through, creating a shocking visual impact. The newly built observation platform features a glass skywalk and photo plaza, perfectly capturing the train piercing the building from a 33° golden angle. Raise your phone high to record the magical “Chongqing 8D” moment.
Following that, you'll visit Guotai Art Center, a hidden gem, the “Chopstick Monster Building” in Yuzhong District, famous for its unique shape interwoven with red and black—like a burning bonfire or flowing light sculpture, with light shows especially eye-catching. The interior features immersive art exhibitions blended with modern architecture; stroll the surrounding paths to feel the tension between culture and urban life. It provides a quiet artistic respite, perfect for literary youth to pause and gaze.
Then you'll reach the Cloud Eye observation deck, located on the 67th-floor indoor platform and 69th-floor helipad, offering 360° unobstructed views over the two rivers and four banks. Daytime blue skies and buildings, nighttime starry light seas, mist swirling like a heavenly eye, with “Cloud Radio” and prayer areas. Climb the red stairs to the open deck, with river breezes blowing—extremely romantic.
Next, you'll visit Qianzigimen Bridge spanning the Jialing River, with dazzling night lights cascading like a galaxy, the bridge body glowing and reflecting on the river surface. The selfie area on the bridge is packed with people, cruise ships passing under the bridge capture the city's pulse, walk the bridge deck to feel the river breeze.
Next, you'll visit the Chongqing People's Grand Hall. Stroll the riverside path, admire the architecture meeting the two rivers, occasional performance lights spilling out, creating an artistic atmosphere. As a transition point, it offers brief respite, with distant views of Hongya Cave building excitement for the climax.
Your day ends at Hongya Cave. The 11-story stilt houses stack layer upon layer, lights blazing like a dreamscape. The top platform offers panoramic views of the two rivers and four banks, the bottom level crowded with Sichuan snacks (must-try sour-spicy noodles and xiaomian), savor spicy and refreshing food amid the bustling crowds. Climb to the observation deck to overlook the city neon— a perfect finale.
