Overview

This is a unique combined experience where after the Chimney cake workshop you will receive a ticket to explore Budapest Zoo as well. During the Vitéz Kürtős workshop trainings, you can gain the insight into the mysteries of making 'kürtőskalács', and you can see up close how the real 'kürtőskalács' is made by hand kneading, baked on charcoal. You can experience that the art of charcoal treatment is just as important as the well-crafted leavened dough making, what are the good ingredients, in addition to all this, a real 'kürtőskalács' will only be baked if it is made with the heart and soul.

Activity itinerary

Depending on the number of participants the program lasts a minimum of 2 hours, but it can be up to a half day, which includes an introductory educational quiz, the secrets of kneading the 'kürtőskalács' dough, teaching how to stretch and roll up the dough, during the involvement in the art of coal treatment, where everyone can bake a 'kürtőskalács' for themselves. After the workshop, you will have the chance to explore Budapest Zoo, the oldest and biggest Zoo in Hungary.
