Begin your day with hotel pickup in Chiang Mai and travel to Wat Pa Daraphirom Temple, a peaceful and culturally significant temple known for novice monk ordination.

Your guide, who was ordained at this temple for 6 years, will share local insight into Buddhist traditions, daily temple life, and northern Thai culture.

After exploring the temple grounds, continue with an educational introduction to Thai elephants, including their historical role in Thai society, conservation efforts, and the importance of responsible tourism.

Enjoy a freshly prepared Thai lunch at a local family home made before continuing into the mountains for an elephant nature observation experience.

The afternoon program focuses on learning about elephants in a respectful and non-intrusive setting.

Upon arrival:

• Change into suitable clothing
• Travel by bamboo rafting followed by a short nature walk

Observe elephants in their natural environment from an appropriate distance while learning about their behavior and daily life from experienced local staff.

This program does not include riding, bathing.

After the experience, return to your hotel in Chiang Mai.
