Please bring a raincoat with you for the trip.

Due to possible heavy rainfall in the area from 20–25 September, the trail may become wet and slippery. Please wear suitable walking shoes and bring a raincoat.

Tours continue to operate daily during this period. However, in the event of severe weather conditions, the tour may be cancelled if the National Park authorities temporarily close the area or do not allow entry for safety reasons.

Doi Inthanon National Park & Pha Dok Siew Nature Trail

Discover the natural beauty of Doi Inthanon National Park, known as the “Roof of Thailand.” Located approximately 70 kilometers southwest of Chiang Mai city center, Doi Inthanon is home to Thailand's highest mountain and is one of the country's most popular national parks.

The park is famous for its waterfalls, mountain scenery, forests, viewpoints, local villages, and cool temperatures at higher elevations.

During the trip, you will have the opportunity to visit some of Doi Inthanon's famous attractions:

Wachirathan Waterfall – one of the park's impressive waterfalls.
Twin Pagodas – located at a high elevation with beautiful mountain views.
Thailand's Highest Point – visit the highest point in Thailand.
White Karen Hill-Tribe Village – visit a traditional Karen village. This is a White Karen village, not a Longneck Karen village.
Hmong Hill-Tribe Market – explore the local market and discover highland products, including locally produced coffee.
Pha Dok Siew Nature Trail – enjoy a scenic trek through the forests, countryside, and local communities of Doi Inthanon.
The summit of Doi Inthanon reaches 2,565 meters above sea level, making it the highest mountain in Thailand. Temperatures at higher elevations can be considerably cooler than in Chiang Mai city.

Warm clothing is recommended, especially from November to February.

Weather & Seasonal Scenery

The rainy season generally runs from May to October, with heavier rainfall commonly occurring between July and September.

From July to September, the countryside is often lush after the rain, and visitors may see beautiful rice fields and mountain scenery along the route.

From approximately November to February, the weather is generally cooler and drier, especially at higher elevations.

Pha Dok Siew Nature Trail
The Pha Dok Siew Nature Trail is one of the popular nature trails in Doi Inthanon National Park. The trail passes through forest scenery, streams, waterfalls, rice fields, and rural landscapes.
The trail is accompanied by a local Karen guide, who shares information about the area and local way of life during the walk.

The trek is suitable for travelers who enjoy walking, waterfalls, mountain scenery, local villages, and outdoor adventure.
