Three kilometres of turquoise water, limestone canyon walls polished by centuries of current, and seven cliff-jump points ending at the three-tier blue pools of Kawasan Falls — Cebu’s most famous adventure has earned its reputation. This full-day private tour is the easiest way to do it from Cebu City, with hotel pickup, certified canyoneering guides, full safety equipment, local Filipino lunch, and every jump truly optional.
Pickup is between 4:30 and 5:00 AM from your hotel in Cebu City, Mactan or Lapu-Lapu. The drive south takes about 3 hours — most guests sleep through it. We arrive at Matutinao Parish Church in Badian by mid-morning, where you’ll meet your certified canyoneering guide, change into swimwear, and gear up: helmet, life vest, and water shoes — all provided.
At the starting point, you’ll do the 700-metre superman-style canyon zipline that crosses high above the gorge — included in your tour, not an extra. It’s a completely different thrill from the canyoneering: open air, panoramic view, and 30 seconds of pure speed.
You then descend through the canyon. Swim through narrow turquoise gorges, slide down water-polished rock chutes, and rappel down small drops. Along the way, seven cliff-jump points rise from one metre at the gentlest to six metres at the headline jump — and for the genuinely brave, an optional 30-metre cliff dive that few canyoneering tours in Asia offer. Every jump has a safer alternative path. Your guide reads each guest’s comfort level and adjusts accordingly — first-time canyoneers, families with kids 4+, and seasoned adventure travellers can all do this tour at their own pace.
After two to three hours in the canyon, you finish at the base of Kawasan Falls — the famous turquoise three-tier waterfall.
Estimated return to your hotel: 6:00–7:00 PM.
