If you are new to or have never snorkeled before this is the ideal choice! Particularly good for families with younger children or swimmers who aren’t certain if they are “seaworthy” enough for one of our longer trips.

This trip is much slower-paced and affords guests time to become more familiar and comfortable with the exciting and beautiful sport of snorkeling. Our crew will be happy to help you adjust your mask, fins, and snorkel and help you become comfortable viewing the tropical fish while using a flotation assistance device we call a “noodle”. You'll even watch for dolphins and whales along the way!

Activity itinerary

Join Dolphin Discoveries on this exciting adventure to Captain Cook's Monument at Kealakekua Bay for world class snorkeling at this beautiful marine sanctuary. Our small groups ensure a fun, personal, tour aboard our rigid inflatable adventure crafts. On the way, we will explore sea caves, lava tubes, and historical sites along the rugged Kona coastline. Up to 2 hours snorkeling on this 3 hour tour, for a relaxed, no rush, snorkeling experience at this premier marine sanctuary. Spinner dolphins are frequently sighted in the bay! so make sure to bring your camera for some great photo ops! During humpback whale season ( December thru March) sightings are an extra bonus! Snacks and beverages are included. Check in is at 12:20 for 12:30 departure/ 3:30 return Please wear your swimsuit, bring a light cover up and towel We'll provide your snorkel gear and refreshments
