Often little corners of paradise are right here, in our own backyards.
The Aniene river, a stone's throw from Rome, is one of these. Those from Rome may find it hard to believe, but in Subiaco you will find clear and abundant water all summer, go diving in deep natural pools, and with ropes have opportunity to try canyoning in an incredible setting between a Benedictine monastery and Nero’s famous villa.
We will meet in Subiaco at Centro Rafting Vivere l'Aniene. Here we will give you the technical equipment you will need for the adventure: neoprene wetsuit and socks, a helmet and an harness. You will also be able to leave your valuables in safety deposit boxes. We will then transfer to the Laghetto di San Benedetto, where we will get ready for the activity: we will get dressed and have a technical briefing.
We are now all set and ready to go.
A first rappel will let us onto the river bed. After jumps in the water, river crossings and natural water slides, we will arrive at the top of a second 10-meter rappel, between magnificent natural architectures and an impressive waterfall.
This will bring us to the last obstacle: a zip-line jump right into the San Benedetto lake.
Our adventure will end with non stop dives up to 5 meters high.
After 2 1/2 hour we'll go back to the cars, with a 10-minute easy trail.
No experience is necessary, so you can join the fun even if you're a first-timer.
Our experienced guides will be with you every step of the way to ensure your safety.
