There is nothing more authentic than the scent of clay in a historic workshop. In this short but in-depth tour, I will open the doors of my workshop in Caltagirone to you. You won't just be watching: you'll discover the life cycle of a piece, from the shapeless block of clay to the decorated piece ready for the kiln. It is a journey through time among Mediterranean colors, centuries-old techniques, and the dedication that only a thousand-year-old tradition can pass on.

Drying and First Firing: Explanation of the “biscuit” (the raw ceramic).
