What you can expect

Discover Cala Varques on a guided kayak adventure along Mallorca’s wild east coast, one of the island’s most beautiful, untouched, and spectacular natural areas.

Your experience starts in Cala Romantica, where our local guides will welcome you, provide all the necessary equipment, and give you a clear safety briefing so you can enjoy the activity with confidence.
After the briefing, we will start the kayak route from Cala Romántica towards Cala Varques. You will paddle through turquoise waters, dramatic cliffs, natural rock formations, and wild corners that can only be discovered from the sea.

This is not just a kayak tour: it is a guided adventure to the protected area of the Cala Varques natural reserve, an exclusive authorized experience to discover one of Mallorca’s wildest, most authentic, and protected coastal landscapes from the sea.

Once we reach the Cala Varques area, we will visit secret sea caves with crystal-clear blue waters for approximately 30 minutes. We will swim into the caves with the guides, discovering a hidden world of light, rock, and transparent water.
Some of these caves are surrounded by old stories of pirates, smugglers, and lost treasures. Nobody knows if a secret may still be hidden among the rocks… perhaps the next ones to arrive by kayak will be the ones to discover it.

After that, you will enjoy around 30 minutes to swim, relax, and explore the underwater world with a mask in crystal-clear waters. You will also learn about the importance of Posidonia, a protected marine plant essential for keeping Mallorca’s waters clean and full of life.

One of the great highlights of the route is the famous natural arch of Cala Varques, an impressive rock formation and one of the most spectacular places on the coast of Mallorca.

Throughout the activity, our guides will stay close to the group to make the experience safe, fun, and accessible, even if you have no previous kayaking experience.
This experience is perfect for couples, friends, adventurous families, and nature lovers looking for more than just a beach day.

Important information:
-The tour lasts approximately 3 hours in total. The paddling time is about 40 minutes each way, at a relaxed guided pace.
-During the activity, our guides can help you capture memories of the experience. If you want to bring your phone, we recommend using a waterproof case.
-Entering the sea caves or taking part in the mask exploration is not mandatory. If someone prefers to stay out of the water at any point, they can do so.
-For those looking for an extra touch of adventure, our guides will assess the sea and surrounding conditions to decide whether it is possible to do a cliff jump. This part is always optional.
-During the months when the water is colder, we provide wetsuits so you can enjoy the experience more comfortably.
