We'll pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the “Paseo de los Incas,” a boulevard where you'll find beautifully designed sculptures of the 14 Incas who ruled the Inca Empire.
Then we head out of the city to see the Stone Forest of Sapitos, intriguing rock formations shaped like toads and bulls. It's also an attractive natural spot in the province with images everywhere of what the Inca period was like.
Next, we'll head to the picturesque village of Namora, a dreamy town with beautiful countryside. Besides making the best guitars in Peru, it has natural, cultural, and historical tourist riches.
Namora is home to dozens of specialists in the manufacture of guitars and charangos, masters who have dedicated their lives to crafting the main musical instrument of the Cajamarquinos. So, we can't say goodbye to the town without first entering a Guitar Workshop—the best in Peru!—where we'll learn about the manufacturing process of these precious musical instruments.
Our last stop is the San Nicolás Lagoon, the largest in Cajamarca, with native wildlife such as ducks, where you can go fishing and canoeing. Here you'll have free time to visit the floating island “El Aventurero” and, if you wish, you can take a totora boat ride on your own. Lunch (on your own). Time to head back to Cajamarca. The tour ends in Plaza de Armas.
