Set sail from Cairns for a full-day reef fishing adventure on the Great Barrier Reef. Experience authentic reef and bottom fishing while targeting iconic species such as Coral Trout, Red Emperor and Large Mouth Nannygai, along with a variety of other reef species.
Travel approximately 90 minutes offshore to fishing grounds within a 50-kilometre radius of Cairns. With experienced local crew and thousands of fishing marks built up over decades, your fishing location will be selected based on the conditions and opportunities on the day. Be ready for some serious fish — catches of 10kg or more are possible, so hang on tight!
Everything you need to fish is provided, including rods and reels, tackle and bait, with crew on hand to assist throughout the day.
Enjoy a cold buffet lunch, fruit and grazing platter, and bottled water while out on the Reef.
After a full day of fishing, return to Cairns at approximately 3:30pm. Your catch will be cleaned and bagged for you to take home, or ask the crew about local catch-and-cook restaurants where you can have your fresh catch prepared for dinner.
Your charter includes fishing equipment, bait and tackle, lunch, bottled water, and applicable port and reef charges. Simply bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and a camera. Drinks are available to purchase onboard with cash, or you're welcome to bring your own drinks in cans only — no glass.
