Discover the best part of southern Albania in one unforgettable day, combining history, culture, and breathtaking nature.
Our journey begins at Butrint National Park, where we’ll explore the ancient city with a walking tour around the archaeological site, lasting approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. During the visit, you’ll discover the rich history, ruins, and unique atmosphere of one of Albania’s most important UNESCO sites.
Along the way, we’ll also pass by Ksamil, giving you the opportunity for photos or a relaxing seaside stop.
After Butrint, we may visit St. George’s Monastery, depending on the group’s preference. Reaching the monastery requires a short uphill hike of around 10 minutes, rewarded with peaceful surroundings and beautiful views over the coast.
We then continue towards Blue Eye, one of Albania’s most famous natural attractions. From the entrance to the spring, you can either enjoy a scenic walk of around 20 minutes or take the small train transport offered at Blue Eye, which costs around 300 ALL per way.
On our way back to Sarandë, we’ll head up to Lëkurësi Castle, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Corfu, the entire city of Sarandë, and the surrounding coastline. If timing allows, we’ll also try to catch the sunset from the castle, creating the perfect ending to the day.
If you’re looking for a complete experience that captures the essence of southern Albania in just one day, this tour is the perfect choice.
