The walking tour takes us along the Danube, revealing the illuminated landmarks on both the Buda and Pest sides of the city: We will meet at the centenary Central Market Hall building and, from there, admire Gellért Hill, the Gellért Spa, and the beautifully restored Liberty Bridge.
After a short tram ride along the Danube, we will see the Pesti Redoute Music Palace, the fully illuminated Chain Bridge, and the magnificent Gresham Palace. After another short ride, we will arrive at the massive Budapest Parliament Building.
We will take public transportation to the Buda Castle Hill, where the unique Matthias Church and the romantic Fisherman's Bastion (offering panoramic views of the Pest side) await us. After a short walk through the alleys of the Old Town, we will reach the government district, where we will conclude the tour at the fully illuminated Royal Palace.
Of course, there are not only plenty of photo opportunities, but also beautiful, romantic, quirky, and sometimes even spooky stories and legends about the capital of Hungary…
