Perched on the left bank of the Danube River, the Castle District of Budapest is the hilly, older section of the city, full of stunning architecture from the medieval to the baroque.

On this 3-hour walking tour around Buda Castle (Royal Palace), you will journey back to the 13th century, and explore the golden period of the 15th century. The Ottoman invasion, the Habsburg period, and the battles of 1944-1945 all had a significant effect on the architectural feature of the district.
