Breugem Brewery is not just a normal brewery. It is a brewery with a story. A social story. The founder of the company, Patrick Breugem, had a heavy accident at a young age and the doctors told him that working again would not be possible. He proved them wrong. He started brewing and founded a brewery that won many prizes over the years. This is the basis of the company now. We provide jobs for people with psychological challenges with the goal to show that they can participate in a normal way in society.

Our spacious brewpub is located just out of the center of Amsterdam. The brewery is located right next to the pub. One of our guides will take you through the brewery and tell you all about the process of making beer and the ingredients that are being used. Step for step you will be taken through the whole process and the history of the company will be told along the way.

After the tour, you will be served a tasty tasting set of four of our best beers, so you can taste for yourself what is so special about our beers. For example, with our Tripel (HIGH FIVE) we have been in the top 3 of the best Tripels in the Netherlands for the past three years. A great accomplishment, as Tripel is the second most popular beer style in the competition.

If you happen to be hungry, we advise you to also taste some typical Dutch fried snacks like the typical Dutch bitterballen. Something you can’t miss when you are in Amsterdam. That will definitely make your experience here complete. If that doesn’t fully fill your stomach, there will be juicy burgers, pizza’s and other pub foods available for you too.
