Often overshadowed by the region’s famous reds, Bordeaux’s white wines offer an incredible diversity that deserves to be explored from crisp, citrusy Sauvignon Blancs perfect for aperitifs, to rounder, more indulgent Sémillon-based blends ideal for dinner.
During this experience, you’ll learn to taste like a professional while diving into the world of white Bordeaux: its history, appellations, grape varieties, winemaking techniques, and terroirs.
You'll compare styles from both the Left and Right Banks and understand how stainless steel preserves freshness and fruit, while oak barrel aging adds complexity, roundness, and structure. You'll also have the opportunity to taste the renowned sweet Sauternes.
Guided by Cécilia and Mathilde, certified wine experts trained at the Université du Vin, you’ll taste four carefully selected white wines from both renowned and independent estates, including a mystery wine to challenge your senses.
The tasting is designed to be interactive and intimate, taking place in a relaxed setting. You’ll also explore creative food and wine pairings, each wine will be enhanced by a pairing with a mature French cheese, and you'll leave with a tasting booklet to continue practicing at home.
Depending on the season, tastings take place in our charming Bordeaux-style tasting room, our private courtyard, or the cool of our cellar. Wines tasted are available for purchase afterward, perfect for extending the experience or sharing your new discoveries with others.
If you are accompanied by people who prefer red wines, we can accommodate you. We also offer a tasting of red Bordeaux wines, so do not hesitate to let us know in advance.
