Located 4 kilometers from Bonito, the São Mateus Grotto is a contemplative activity which will help you get in touch with nature. Your visit starts with an exciting walk inside through a 320-meter-long suspended trail amidst nature and centenary trees.

Following this, you will reach the entrance to the cave, which is also known by the name “cathedral” due to its unique rock formations. You will be able to see several stalactites, stalagmites, corals, curtains, and columns, with a full view of the city from the viewpoint also included.

Following the cave, you can enjoy a visit to the Kadiwéu Cultural Museum, which shows the great history of the emergence of the city of Bonito from materials collected by the residents. Here you will also discover a collection of historical objects, as well as a variety of stuffed animals.
