Discover Balicasag the way it should be experienced: early in the morning, out on the water and with plenty of time to enjoy what makes this part of Bohol so special.

Your day starts with pickup from your accommodation in Panglao at around 6:00 AM. From there, we head to the boat and set off across the sea towards Balicasag Island.

Along the way, we’ll keep an eye out for wild dolphins. They live freely in these waters, so sightings can never be guaranteed — and that is exactly what makes seeing them so special when they appear.

Depending on tides, sea conditions and local access regulations, the route may also include Virgin Island, the famous white sandbar between Panglao and Balicasag.

Then comes the highlight of the morning: snorkeling around Balicasag Island, one of Bohol’s most important marine sanctuaries.

Snorkeling here is regulated by the local authorities and carried out with local guides using small traditional boats to reach the designated snorkeling areas. Once in the water, you’ll discover coral gardens, tropical fish and the possibility of encountering sea turtles in their natural habitat.

Balicasag is beautiful — and it is no secret. It is also one of Bohol’s most popular destinations, so some areas can be busy, particularly during peak periods. Sea conditions, visibility, wildlife sightings and access to individual snorkeling areas can also vary from day to day.

We prefer to be clear about that rather than make promises that nature cannot keep.

What we can do is organize the morning carefully, start early and help you make the most of the conditions on the day.

After snorkeling, we’ll cruise back towards Panglao and return you to your accommodation around midday.
