What you can expect
This full-day countryside tour is designed to showcase Bohol’s most famous natural and cultural landmarks in a relaxed, well-paced itinerary. It’s ideal for travelers who want to see the island’s highlights without rushing, navigating on their own, or worrying about timing and logistics.
Your day begins with hotel pickup in Panglao, Loay, Loboc or Tagbilaran, followed by a scenic drive into Bohol’s countryside. Along the way, your local guide shares context about the island’s history, geography, and daily life.
Chocolate Hills Viewpoint
The tour’s centerpiece is the iconic Chocolate Hills, a UNESCO-recognized geological formation of over 1,200 cone-shaped hills spread across the interior of Bohol. From the main viewpoint, you’ll have time to take photos, walk the viewing deck, and appreciate the scale of this unique landscape. During the dry season, the hills turn brown, giving them their famous “chocolate” appearance.
Tarsier Conservation Sanctuary
Next, visit a protected Tarsier Conservation Area, home to one of the world’s smallest primates. This is a regulated conservation site focused on animal welfare. Guests walk quietly along forest paths while guides explain the tarsiers’ behavior, habitat, and the rules that help protect them.
Man-Made Forest
You’ll then pass through the Bilar Man-Made Forest, a scenic stretch of dense mahogany trees forming a natural green tunnel. This is a popular photo stop and a refreshing break from the tropical heat.
Loboc River Cruise
The day continues with a relaxing lunch cruise along the Loboc River. Enjoy a buffet-style Filipino lunch served onboard while floating past riverside villages, palms, and lush jungle scenery. Live local music or cultural performances are often part of the experience, adding a gentle cultural element without feeling staged or intrusive. (Lunch and cruise is a package paid separately)
Comfortable & Well-Managed Experience
Transportation is air-conditioned, group sizes are managed, and the route is planned to minimize backtracking and delays. Your guide coordinates timing throughout the day so you can focus on enjoying the sights rather than watching the clock.
This tour balances nature, culture, and comfort, making it one of the best ways to experience Bohol’s countryside in a single day.
